3. (Using your answers and ideas from the Language and Literacy Narrative Brainstorms worksheet you submitted Monday, 9/11,) Write a 1 page snapshot of 1 meaningful moment in your language and/or literacy experiences. Print 2 copies and bring to class.

1. Read Norton’s “Writing a Literacy Narrative” (pages 28-34).
2. Write and submit to BB a full draft of your Written L&L Narrative (at least 2.5 pages long). Print 2 copies and bring to class.

Week 4 — Wednesday, 9/20

1. Write a full draft of your Spoken L&L Narrative. Practice it a few times (ideally with a friend/classmate/family member) and revise it at least once. Be ready to practice it with peers and email yourself any files you need.

1. Revise and submit to GC your WLLN based on peer feedback.
2. Revisit any one of our five course texts (in our coursepack, including the transcript of Jamila Lyiscott’s “3 Ways to speak English”). Using this rhetorical strategies and appeals handout, write down as many strategies as you can observe. Submit to GC.

Week 6 — Monday, 10/2

1. Read & give feedback on 2 of your peers’ essays. (A) Upload your WLLN to your google drive folder. If you would like feedback on specific sections or elements in your essay, please write in bold at the top of your essay. (B) Upload “Take-Home Peer Review” worksheet to 2 of your peers’ folders (peers reviewers will be assigned in-class).

1. Review your peers’ feedback. Make revisions to your Written L&L Narrative in response to that feedback.
2. Work on your Cover Letter.
3. For Friday, 10/6: Revise and polish the final draft of your Written L&L Narrative. Then, write and paste your Cover Letter at the beginning of your document
